OUR GOALS:

OUR GOALS SECTION IS ONLY VISIBLE TO OUR MEMBERS, BECAUSE PUTTING THAT INFORMATION TO THE VEW OF THE PUBLIC AT THIS TIME, BEFORE AQUIRING A SPACE TO OUR UNION WITHIN THE COMMISSION, WOULD PLACE OUR INTERESTS IN REAL DANGER, SINCE THERE ARE SO BIG INTERSTS OF POWERFUL PEOPLE COMMITED TO KEEPING US UNDER THE YOKE OF THEIR MEDALLIONS. 
THAT'S THE REASON WHY WE NEED TO FILTER THE ENTRANCE OF NEW MEMBERS TO THE MAXIMUN AT LEAST AT THE BEGINNING, TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE NOT WORKING FOR THE OPPRESSORS.
 

 

IF YOU OWN MORE THAN ONE PERMIT OR MEDALLION, WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO ASSOCIATE WITH TAXI COMPANIES, SINCE OUR ASSOCIATION ONLY REPRESENTS THE RIGHTS OF THE DRIVERS AND NOT INVESTORS.

WE HAVE STARTED THIS WEBSITE WITH THE ONLY PURPOSE OF GETTING ALL TOGETHER, IN ORDER TO CONFORM A LEGAL UNION WITH LEGAL RIGHTS AND ULTIMATELY ACQUIRE A SPACE FOR US IN THE COMMISION EVERY TIME IN WHICH ANY RELATED MATTER TO OUR TRANSPORT INDUSTRY IS SUPPOSED TO BE DISCUSS.

 WE ARE SURE THAT IS VERY POSSIBLE TO BE ACHIEVED, AND THE DEGREE OF SUCCES IS DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE NUMBER OF OUR COLLEAGUES THAT ARE WILLING TO PARTICIPATE.

WE DO NOT DEFEND THE RIGHTS OF THE TAXI COMPANIES (LIKE CENTRAL, YELLOW ETC), THAT HAVE ALWAYS MISLED US IN FAVOR OF THEIR OWN MEMBERS INTERESTS. 

WE DO NOT FIGHT AGAINST UBER, LIFT, OR OUR LOCAL AUTHORITIES. WE DO NOT THINK FIGHTING IS A CIVILIZED WAY.

 WE ONLY SEEK TO DEFEND AND VINDICATE OUR RIGHTS AS PROFFESIONAL GRADUATED CHAUFFEURS FROM DADE AS WE ALSO SEEK TO VINDICATE OUR LABOR LEGAL RIGHTS WHICH HAVE ALWAYS BEEN IGNORED.

WE PRETEND NOT TO TAKE ANY SINGLE DECISION ABOUT ANY OF OUR MOTIONS,  WITHOUT FIRST BEING DISCUSSED AND HAVE THEM SUBJECT TO THE APROVAL OF EVERY MEMBER BY VOTE. 

      

We propose in order to develop better conditions for passengers and drivers the following points:

1)Each hack license must have the legal character of a medallion (the past organization system should be improved)

                ONE DRIVER-- ONE TAXI

2)Limit the number of hack licenses to 10000 ,including all active provided service(Taxis,Uber,Lyft,etc).

                 NO LICENSE--NO WORK

3)The Miami-Dade County Transportation Commision, should include 2 or 3 chairs for delegates of our association, anytime when transportation Industry related matters would be there to be discussed.

4)The Miami-Dade County, must regulate the service as soon as possible, as well as the minimun rate to be charge per mile for the transport of customers, so the competition between taxis and other services like Uber is in equal condicions and not so unfear, making compliance mandatory standard established for transport of passenger.

 

Dear colleagues. There are probably many unions out there. Here the importance is that we could articulate a mechanism in which by our Private Forums, everybody could participate, expressing ideas and proposing new motions.

Whenever an idea would aquire suficient support from members that idea should become a motion to decide by vote.
Here it should not be any leader taking decisions, but many leaders proposing them. No presidents, like in the taxi companies, where one person was taking decisions, to impose rules to all of us. Like for example when Central Cab obligueted all of their chauffeurs, to use verifone by its President decision in person. (one of the thousands of examples out of the tremendous abuse that we've been obligated to stand, having not rights and not choice at all)
Here we are specificly going to try changing this Companies for our Big Union, and those dispatchers for a computarized sistem like for example similar to the way Uber has to dispatch, in order to give us the jobs without any special preferences like the dispatchers usually do. 
We really need this UNION, as much as we do need our rights to be recognized, represented and well protected.
